What does International Women’s Day mean to you?
It is an opportunity to celebrate women in general and give visibility to women throughout the world.
It is a day to remember that the fight for a change of mindset continues globally, inequalities persist in many areas and it is important not to forget that in order to be able to change things.
It is knowing that women’s rights are still being violated in some countries today and that has to change, some traditions and religions must evolve (forced marriage, violence, etc.).
It is also a way to show that women are both strong and sensitive and equal to men. And that they know how to balance their professional and personal lives. This day also reminds us that it’s not that long ago since women first achieved the same rights as men in the European Union.
It serves to raise awareness among most people, especially young people, of women’s rights, teaching them respect and to coexist without violence.
How has the situation of women evolved in your industry and during your professional career?
In my opinion, the role of women has become more important in the industry, there are more women in management roles and positions which in the past were considered to be reserved for men. There are fewer “barriers”, women are more daring.
Have you had any difficulties in your professional life because you are a woman?
Personally, I have not had difficulties due to being a woman, I have always felt listened to and respected within the company.
What do you think your biggest contribution to Cupa Pizarras has been?
I am very committed to my work, very attentive and responsive. I have also known how to adjust to the various changes in the company and I have contributed to achieving sales targets in close collaboration with the different teams.
Why would you recommend being part of the Cupa Group team to other women?
I recommend women to join Cupa Group because they will have the chance to work in good conditions and have professional development opportunities.
