What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

International Women’s Day is a date for reflecting on women’s achievements throughout history, but also a day for acknowledging the challenges we still face. It is a time to celebrate our strength, resilience and the importance of continuing to fight for equal rights.

How has the situation of women evolved in your industry and during your professional career?

In my, mostly male, industry, women have gained more space, although we still face challenges like misogyny. As manager, I see a growing female presence that breaks stereotypes and brings new perspectives. There is resistance, but female leadership has been gaining recognition, promoting more inclusive management, and challenging old norms.

Have you had any difficulties in your professional life because you are a woman?

Yes, I have faced difficulties because I’m a woman, especially in a mainly male environment with limited opportunities for women in leadership positions. There has been resistance and often my work has not been valued. However, with persistence, I managed to overcome these obstacles, occupying my space and showing that competence has no gender.

What do you think your biggest contribution to Barcamp has been?

My biggest contribution to Barcamp and by extension to Cupa Stone has been to lead with a focus on inclusion and strengthening diversity within the company. As a woman in a management post, I have worked to break down barriers, fostering more balanced management and valuing different perspectives. My work in the company seeks to create a more collaborative and inspiring environment showing that female leadership is a force for change within organisations.

Why would you recommend being part of the Cupa Group team to other women?

Cupa Group values the work of women and offers opportunities for growth, regardless of gender. I was the first woman in management at Barcamp and since then, the company has become more inclusive, recognising the importance of female leadership. My aim is to promote an atmosphere of respect and collaboration where diversity is valued and women have room to grow, stand out and contribute to the company’s success.
